Harting has added a multi-contact double module to the range of data interfaces for the Han-Modular family of industrial connectors.
The double module can include up to 12 contacts, including coaxial contacts as well as contacts for optical waveguides. The precision manufactured components can use a range of optical waveguides, from plastic optical fibre to multimode fibres.
According to the company, the module can be combined with all known standard housings and housings from the company's Han-Eco and Han-Yellock series. The double module is suitable for industrial and transportation applications.
In addition to multiple-channel data transmission, the double module is claimed to implement power contacts, which is particularly useful in hybrid cabling concepts that integrate data transmission and power supply in one connector.
