Fischer Elektronik has developed heatsinks for LEDs. In addition to a number of star-type heatsinks with different diameters and contours, pin heatsinks, miniature cooling aggregates and case elements accommodate the LED line modules. The company claims that the modified heatsink versions are adapted to customised LED applications using computer numerical control machining centres or through extrusion. The LEDs are fastened using double-sided, thermally conductive adhesive, screw fastening or solderable surface coatings.
