Silego Technology has launched GreenFET 2 dual-channel MOSFET load switches rated up to 4.5A/channel. The SLG59M237 and SLG59M247 can switch one to 5V power rails and are targeted at servers, routers, industrial equipment, set-top boxes, game consoles, tablets, notebooks,automotive applications, and smartphones. The CMOS level on a particular pin allows direct connection to most application-specific ICs as the switch will turn on smoothly with any voltage above 1.2V, according to the company. An external capacitor may be used to adjust the ramp rate of the power rail turn-on. According to the company, the MOSFET switches consume less than 1µA when not actively switching and their active current consumption is less than 100µA. The MOSFET load switches are also available as dual 4.5A channels with 17mΩ Rds(ON) for the SLG59M237 and as dual 3A channels with 17mΩ Rds(ON) for the SLG59M247.
