Two industrial video encoders from Moxa, the VPort 461 and VPort 451, have received the NEMA TS2 Section 2 certification, a standard that is required in intelligent transportation systems to ensure safe and reliable operation. Both one-channel encoders support full D1 resolution and have three simultaneous streams. They operate in temperatures from -40 to 75℃. Other features are video latency under 200ms and the inclusion of SD/SDHC slots for local storage and two Ethernet ports for cascading or port redundancy. There is also pre-alarm recording, and two-way audio. The NEMA (National Electrical Manufacturers Association) TS2 standard defines safe traffic control equipment. Section 2 contains the environmental and testing requirements, including guidelines for temperature (-34 to 74°C), humidity (eight to 90 % RH, non-condensing), vibration (0.5g at five to 30Hz), and shock (10Gs for 11ms).
