Densitron has introduced Character OLED displays with fast response time, wide viewing angle of nearly 170°, contrast of 10000:1, brightness of 100cd/m2, and colour saturation without the need for colour filters, says the company. The 2x16inch DD-2C16WE-1A and DD-2C16YW-1A LEDs and the 2x20inch DD-2C20WE-1A and DD-2C20YW-1A LEDs are available in yellow and white. The OLED modules offer up to 50,000 hours half-life time and consume less power, according to the company. Less space between each OLED pixel is claimed to enable a smooth graphic display. The displays have in-built character generator ROM font with user-friendly connector boards for system integration and chip-on-glass configuration. The modules can be configured for eight or 4bit parallel, PI, and I2C interface.
