Microsemi has unveiled the LXMG221D-0700040-D2F LED driver for street light installations. The driver eliminates the use of bulky step-down transformers providing a single-step conversion from 347 or 480V AC down to less than 57V DC, says the company. Key features of the LED driver are integrated fault detection and management functionality, high-voltage AC input of 347 to 480V AC, and UL1310 Class 2 isolated compact driver solution converting 347 to 480V AC to 40 to 57V DC. It features a 40W output, a power factor greater than 0.9, and a total harmonic distortion of less than 15%. The LED driver also features dimmability to 10% via 0 to 10V, PWM controls or potentiometers for energy savings, FCC Title 47, part 15 Class B compliance, and over-voltage, over-current and over-temperature protection.
