Hitachi Europe's Display Products Group has introduced a 5.0inch VGA TFT display module, the TX13D04VM2CAA. The transmissive display has been added to the company's Rugged+ TFT range and it provides 640x480pixel resolution. It features a life time of 70000h LED backlight, brightness of 600cd/m², contrast ratio of 500:1, and good display uniformity, says the company. The 110g display features a 40pin CMOS data interface; dimensions of 119.4mm width, 89.1mm height, and 9.3mm diameter; and operates between -30 and +80°C. The additions join a 3.5inch quarter VGA display, a 5inch VGAdisplay, a 5.8inch wide QVGA display with 400x240pixel resolution, three 7inch wide VGA displays with 800x480pixel resolution and an 8inch wide VGA display. All displays are suitable for medical, marine, industrial and aerospace applications.
