ATC Semitec has announced PEPI's (portage electric products inc.) latest addition to its range of one-shot bimetal thermal fuses, the PEPI H1 series.
The fuses operate at 8A and 240V AC or 8A and 24V DC, and offer good temperature protection compared with organic or solder-based thermal fuses, claims the company. Conventional thermal fuses suffer from thermal ageing if used close to their trip point, this can lead to premature failure or nuisance tripping, according to the company.
The fuses are available with set-points from 160 to 240°C and when the contacts open due to an over-temperature condition, they will not close again in ambients of -35°C. The fuses are c-Underwriters Laboratories approved.
