Tumbler Technologies has introduced the TMPC-700, which is the first medically approved 700W ATX (advanced technology eXtended) PC power supply available in its industry. The power supply is a high DC power source that is an addition to the line-up of medical grade power supplies.
The power supply complies with ATX12V and entry level power supply specification 12V standards. It is available with DC voltage outputs and maximum loads of 3.3V for 24A, 5V for 30A, quadruple 12V for 16A, -12V for 0.5A, 5V stand-by for 3.5A, and -5V for 0.2A. The maximum total output is 700W, with the combined output of 3.3 and 5V limited to 180W. The total output current for 12V1, 12V2, 12V3 and 12V4 is 50A maximum. The power supply is available with a standard output cableset, which includes the 20+4pin ATX motherboard connector, 4pin Molex, and SATA power connectors that is suitable for PC-related applications.
With the earth leakage current being 100 and 150µA maximum at 115V AC of 60Hz and at 264V AC of 50Hz, respectively, the power supply is approved to the third edition of UL 60601-1, IEC 60601-1, and EN 60601-1 medical standards and complies with EN 60601-1-2, EN 61000-3-2, EN 61000-3-3, and FCC, EN 55011, EN 55022, CISPR22, VCCI class B radiated and conductive emissions EMC and EMI standards. In addition, the power supply carries CE mark and complies with RoHS requirements. MTBF of the power supply at full load is high than 145kh at 25°C ambient, calculated per MIL-HDBK-217F.
The power supply has 90 to 264V AC universal input and active power factor correction, which meets EN 61000-3-2 standards. The power supply has a built-in, durable ball-bearing fan with noise-killer that is thermally controlled and is available with a power switch. Additional key features include over-voltage and over-current protection on all outputs, low ripple and noise and -10 to +70ºC operating temperature.
