Wago has added locking male connectors with snap-in flanges to its Multi Connection System-Musical Instrument Digital Interface range. The male connectors can be used for panel feedthroughs for 5 to 2.5mm panel wall thickness without screws. This is claimed to make the recess in the panel less complicated, eliminate the need for drilled holes for anchors, and reduce the number of parts and logistics required for the feedthroughs. The male connectors are designed for 12A and up to 630V for pin spacings of five and 5.08mm, and up to 1000V for pin spacings of 7.5- and 7.62mm. The connectors can accommodate conductor sizes of 0.08 to 2.5mm2. The male connectors can be combined with all versions of the company's female connectors, thus retaining the function of an existing screw locking mechanism or of locking levers.
