Interface Masters Technologies has announced the first member of the 10G Packet-Master systems that supports 24 ports of 10Gbyte hardware-based LoadBalancing tightly integrated with 12 built-in segments of 10G passive fibre TAP (traffic access point). Niagara 3224PT provides good packet management functionality including filtering capabilities, L2-L3-L4 filtering, packet slicing, mirroring options, session based traffic distribution and traffic aggregation.
The Packet-Master supports 12 segments of 10G passive multi-mode and single-mode TAP. It provides 960Gbit/s real traffic processing or monitoring and is suitable for security applications, datacenter applications and data monitoring appliances including low power, traffic distribution, session-based load balancing to enable multiple appliances to monitor a network segment and multiprotocol label switching handling. The Packet-Master features 24 bi-directional and configurable ports including speed and media, 12 segments passive TAP for network monitoring, traffic mirroring, aggregation and redirection: one-to-one, many-to-one, one-to-many, and many-to-many and 1U rack. It also features advanced management capabilities including Syslog, terminal access controller access-control system plus, remote network monitoring, hypertext transfer protocols, secure shell and command line interface management and dual redundant power supplies.
