Silego Technology has announced Green FET 2, dual channel 17mΩ MOSFET load switches for servers, routers, switches, industrial equipment, set-top boxes, game consoles, tablets, notebooks, and smartphones. The SLG59M237 and the SLG59M247 load switches feature 4.5 and 3A, respectively, and they are capable of switching one to 5V power rails. They are available in thin dual, flat, no lead plastic packages. The CMOS level 'on' pin is said to allow direct connection to ASICs as the switch turns on with voltages above 1.2V, which can be adjusted using an external capacitor. Once the switch is on, over-current limit and automatic thermal shutdown circuits provide added power rail and overall system protection, claims the company. In addition, the switches have an automatic power rail discharge option at power off. They consume less than one and 100µA during inactive and active modes, respectively.
