Sensirion has introduced two SDP6x6 low-energy differential pressure sensors in the SDP600 series. They are designed for long-term battery powered operations in medical and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning applications. The SDP606 and SDP616 sensors wake up on receiving a measure command and enter sleep mode after completing each measurement with the current drain of less than 1μA. The sensors feature an operation current of 6mA. The sensors offer a digital I2C output and are calibrated and temperature compensated. The CMOS sensors work with the principle of calorimetric flow measurement to ensure high sensitivity and accuracy at low pressure differences, claims the company. The sensors have high stability and are free from zero-point drift. Both sensors are designed for direct threaded connection to a pressure manifold with O-ring sealing and for tube connection, respectively.
