LED emitter for linear lighting applications

Plus Opto has announced the Mid-power LED emitter for linear lighting applications. Designated LG5630, the 5.6x3.0mm outline has a 0.9mm profile and is rated at 150mA maximum drive current. Luminous intensity is 40lumens typ at 120mA corresponding to a typical efficiency of 100lm/W.

 

The LED has a 120° angle of emission and colour rendering index of 80.The thermal design allows for a compact housing providing good lumen maintenance and lifetime. When used in multiple arrays the mid power rating of the emitter reduces the need for extensive secondary heat sinks, claims the company.
