Avalue Technology has launched the ECM-A50M, a 3.5in signal board computer with low power consumption and a small form factor that makes it suitable for use in point-of-sale kiosk, digital signage, medical and transportation systems. The computer incorporates an AMD Embedded G-Series platform, which is a low power CPU and graphic processor integrated into a single embedded, accelerated processing unit. The computer features an AMD eOntario T40E 1.0GHz CPU which consumes 9W and an A50M controller Hub Hudson-M1 to support dual channel 18/24bit LVDS and CRT+LVDS, HDMI+LVDS, CRT+HDMI multi-display configurations. I/O includes two SATA and COM, seven USB 2.0, 16bit general purpose I/O and four, five, and eight-wire built-in touch controllers. The computer supports a 204pin DDR3 SO, DIMM, up to 4Gbyte DDR3 1066 SDRAM, two Realtek Gigabit Ethernet interfaces and a mini-PCI Express expansion slot.
