EKF has introduced the PC2-LIMBO, a low power, 4HP, 3U CompactPCI CPU board. The board features an Intel Atom E6xx series processor, which is scalable from 0.6 to 1.6GHz, and operates between -40 to +85°C. The front panel has two Gigabit Ethernet jacks, two USB receptacles, either the digital visual interface connector or the classic style VGA connector, up to 2Gbyte soldered RAM, and an onboard CFast host connector for a SATA SSD module. In addition, a micro, secure digital card holder can accommodate a microSD high capacity flash card with speed class 6, up to 32Gbyte. The board's C42-SATA expansion module has a 1.8in microSATA SSD. Four PCI Express lanes allow for peripheral components, such as the Intel platform controller hub EG20T with an I/O ports such as USB and SATA. The board also features PCI Express-based controllers for Gigabit Ethernet and SATA channels, and PCI Express packet switch. The high-speed signal lines are passed from the board through the metric connector to the backplane. The board features a CompactFlash mezzanine and mSATA redundant array of independent disc SSD mezzanine modules, a set of local expansion interface connectors, and expansion cards.
