Texas Instruments has introduced the TPS75005, an integrated power circuit for the company's C2000 real-time control, 32bit microcontrollers and other DSP and FPGA processors. The circuit comes in a thermally enhanced 5x5mm QFN package, combining two low-noise, 500mA low-dropout linear regulators and three supply voltage supervisors to provide ±5% power-rail accuracy for the company's F2833x, F2823x, F281x, F2801x and F280x microcontroller series. The circuit supports input voltages of 3.5 to 6.5V, and provides two power outputs controlled by an integrated sequencer circuit. The circuit features a single EN logic input signal to the power-up and power-down requirements of the C2000 microcontrollers. The sequencer includes a soft-start for both regulators to avoid inrush current. A third rail monitor provides general power management functions such as monitoring the input voltage.
