Integrated Device Technology has expanded its timing portfolio with the introduction of the IDT82V3391, an integrated, single-chip WAN PLL for use in cloud-based networking and 4G wireless infrastructures. The PLL supports both synchronous Ethernet and IEEE1588 standards with legacy support for synchronous digital hierarchy, synchronous optical networking and T1/E1 clock rates. In addition, the PLL is capable of synchronising to a 1pps input signal and simultaneously providing a 1pps output, which makes it suitable for 4G and LTE technologies, claims the company. The PLL is claimed to optimise network performance via delay measurement through the network. The PLL ensures low phase noise and an accuracy of 0.011ppb. The PLL is available in a 100pin thin quad flat package.
