Magma Design Automation has announced the FineSim Pro full-chip circuit-level simulator that delivers fast runtime and SPICE (simulation program with integrated circuit emphasis) accurate results. It simulates a large post-layout design containing more than 75000 MOS devices, 2.9 million parasitic resistors and capacitors. The simulator can be used in analogue and mixed-signal designs. It features a SPICE circuit that supports multi-CPU simulations. This allows for the accurate results with the possible throughput, says the company. The simulator verifies a range of designs from large memories to large analogue ICs. It also has a separate option for IR drop and electromigration analysis.
