A universal hood and a mixed adaptor frame have been added by Harting to the range of housing and insulator components for use with the company's Han-Yellock industrial connector system. It makes good cable layout and allows an increased number of connector configurations, says the company. The universal hood can accommodate a range of cable entry combinations for layouts ranging from 3x M20, 2x M25, 2x M32 to 1x M50 cable glands. Individual cables can be fed in and fitted with separate cable connections. This range of cable entry options can be used with modular insulators.
Alongside Han-Yellock modules with bridging functionality, Han-Modular modules can also be used to handle a range of transmission types from power to data. The functionalities of the both the modules are integrated within a single compact interface, reducing the number and size of connectors on a panel and providing a quick mating operation, claims the company.
