Sharp has added three high-reflective, monochrome, TFT memory LCDs to its portfolio of low power displays which will now have 13 different displays with diagonals of 2.97 to 15.3cm. The 94.8x75.2x1.64mm LS044Q7DH01 display has a quarter VGA resolution of 320x240pixels and operates between -20 and +70°C. It features a reflectivity of 17.5% and viewing angle of 120° in all directions. The display is claimed to feature a transmissivity of 0.25% to provide it with backlighting, when needed, allowing good readability even in complete darkness. This makes it suitable for sports computers and measuring devices. It features a power input without backlight of 0.25mW with static images and 0.65mW with a frame rate of 1Hz. The 26.6x30.3x0.75mm LS013B7DH03 has a resolution of 128x128pixels and a transmissivity of 0.2% and operates between -10 and +60°C. The 35.1x11x0.68mm LS012B4DG01 display has a resolution of 184x38pixels and operates between -10 and +70°C. In addition, the ribbon cable of 52mm allows the display to be positioned and integrated in the housings of cordless screwdrivers and drills, says the company. The displays can be used in testing and measuring devices, industry hand-held equipment, watches, pulse monitors, fitness devices, and electronic shelf labelling systems.
