CamdenBoss has launched two series of wire-to-board connectors. The Minipower connectors are housed on a 4.2mm pitch and are rated for applications using up to 9A. The connectors comprise male and female crimp terminals fitted into their respective housings to create wire-to-wire connections. Wire-to-board connections can be achieved by using PCB mounting headers and female housings with crimp terminals. Straight and right-angled headers are also available. The second series is the Micropower connectors which have a small footprint on a 3mm pitch and which are rated for currents up to 5A. They also have a surface mount header option, available for integrated applications where space is restricted, according to the company. The single and double row connectors feature up to 24 poles and are available with insulated housings. Polarised to avoid inverted connection, the connectors' receptacle housings feature a friction lock for positive mating and male headers with locking ears for use in panel mounting. Applications for the connectors include consumer appliances, medical equipment, computer peripherals, robotics, vending machines, HVAC, power supplies, lighting and security.
