Mitsubishi Electric has introduced a 5inch wide VGA colour TFT-LCD module for industrial use. The AA050MG01 is equipped with a built-in LED driver in a slim and lightweight LCD module design that features a high brightness of 800cd/m2. The good backlight structure reduces the thickness of the module to 3.9mm and its weight to 80g. The LCD module features a viewing angle of 170° along the horizontal and vertical directions and a contrast ratio of 900:1. The LCD module can be operated without an inverter and is suitable for operation in bright illuminated, rugged outdoor environments. The LCD module is RoHS-compliant and operates between -20 and 70°C. According to the company, it ensures good visibility even under the sunlight through a high brightness screen, which makes it suitable for use in portable terminals in warehouses or retails stores to scan and monitor the stock.
