ON Semiconductor has introduced of a family of 100V trench-based LVFR (low forward voltage Schottky rectifiers) for applications such as switching power supplies for notebook adapters or flat panel displays, reverse battery protection circuits, and high frequency DC/DC converters. The NTST30100CTG, NTST20100CTG and NTSB20U100CTG family of rectifiers utilise a trench MOS topology that enables low forward voltage drop and reduced leakage current. This result in low conduction losses, which help to achieve regulatory requirements without the added complexity, such as synchronous rectification, claims the company.

The NTST30100CTG rectifier features a 30A common cathode and a forward voltage, VF of 0.45V at forward current, IF of 5A. The NTST20100CTG rectifier features a 20A common cathode and a forward voltage, VF of 0.5V at forward current, IF of 5A. The NTST30100CTG and NTST20100CTG rectifiers are available in transistor outline-220AB package. The LVFRs ensure good switching performance and operate between -40 and +150°C junction temperature.
