Hitachi has announced the 7in wide VGA TFT display module. The TX18D44VM2BAA display module features a 15:9 wide aspect ratio, a resolution of 800x480pixels and delivers optical performance in a compact and slim mechanical package. The display module has a uniform and bright 400cd/m² LED backlight providing a 40kh half brightness lifetime and a contrast ratio of 400:1 which enables bright, clear images and information to be displayed, says the company. The display module features a 40pin 6bit RGB CMOS interface which enables a colour palette of up to 262k colours, claims the company.
The display module has dimensions of 165x106mm, diagonal of 8mm and weighs 126g. The RoHS-complaint display module employs chip-on-glass construction and operates between -20 and +70°C. User interfaces can be easily supported with the TX18D44VM2BPA display module, which features an integrated touchscreen, claims the company. The display module is suitable for applications including electronic PoS terminals, test and measurement equipment, portable media terminals and data logging systems.
