An on-chip resolver sensor interface corresponds to a range of resolver sensors, eliminating the need for an external resolver-digital converter in the V850E2/PJ4-E microcontroller. An excitation signal generating function for resolver sensor is equipped to offer system configuration for driving motor control in HEV/EVs. The 32bit V850E2/PJ4-E includes a precision motor control timer peripheral that complies with control of various motors, and an ADC with synchronised sample-and-hold function, which enables more precise measurement of data from each sensor. In the dual core lockstep system a comparator continually calculates and detects failures, making it possible to achieve a real-time high failure detection rate via only hardware. The microcontroller complies with the ISO 26262 safety standard.
