Display controller chips for the European market are available from Display Solution. The DisplayLinks SuperSpeed USB (USB 3.0) DL-3000 have an improved version of the DL 3 adaptive compression technology leverages the 5Gbit/s transfer speeds of USB 3.0, allowing for up to 10 times faster virtual graphics performance, says the company. They provide single IC support for up to two, full HD displays and have HDCP 2.0 for protected content playback. The USB 3.0 platform creates an interactive connection between device and display including dual-headed docks and graphics adapters; universal USB docking stations with graphics, networking, and audio; USB to HDMI adapters for PC to TV connectivity; USB to DVI, VGA or DisplayPort adapters for multi-display notebooks; USB 3.0 monitor docks; wired and wireless USB 3.0 monitors; USB bus powered mobile monitors. It is possible to daisychain up to six displays, for digital signage videos displayed on several screens from a single PC. The integrated multi-channel audio offers up to six digital audio channel for 5.1 surround sound. There is networking for docking stations and support for DisplayPort, VGA DAC, DVI and HDMI. The controller chips are backwards compatible with the company's USB 2.0 graphics devices, with USB bus power capabilities for both USB 2.0 and 3.0. There is also Windows driver support for(XP, Vista, Windows 7, and Server 2003 and 2008.
