DMTL has signed a distribution agreement with Suncon, a manufacturer of aluminium electrolytic capacitors. The automotive market will be a prime target for the devices according to Pete Jones, Commercial Director at DMTL "They are perfect for the automotive industry as well as those applications where resistance to vibration, long life and high reliability are crucial. Suncon has a long history in capacitor design and manufacture and will be known to some as the company behind Sanyo's capacitor portfolio. We are delighted that Suncon has chosen DMTL to spearhead its push into the UK market. We look forward to helping our customers design around these exciting passive components". Kanji Hamano, European Sales Manager for Suncon responded, "DMTL's high profile within the automotive industry and other sectors where high performance and high reliability are important will ensure that we can meet our ambitious growth targets in the coming years." A major focus product is the EP-cap, an aluminium electrolytic capacitor with a hybrid cathode formed by combining an electrolyte and electroconductive polymer with high conductivity. Rated voltages can be up to 125V and performance and reliability levels are maintained at temperatures up to 135ºC. The capacitors feature a very low ESR at high frequencies when compared with conventional electrolytics.
