The S2S65A00 image-controller IC makes it possible to simultaneously record and transmit images from two cameras. Designed for use in products such as drive recorders and vehicle-mounted cameras, the IC features two camera-interface functions and two JPEG-encoder functions. It comes equipped with CF/SD memory, USB 2.0, and an 8-channel analogue-to-digital converter. A motion-detection function operates on 16 (4x4) image areas. Other feature include a timer, serial interfaces (I2S, I2C, UART, SPI) and two ports for memory busses (16-bit bus: FROM/SRAM, 32-bit bus: SDRAM). The chip operates from 1.8V for the core and 3.3V for the I/O. It comes in a PFBGA-280 (ball pitch 0.8mm).
