The 73M1866 and 73M1966 facilitate superior voice quality and major bill-of-materials reductions in business-critical and residential VoIP applications. They are suited for PSTN lifeline support, small- and medium-enterprise integrated service routers, converged media gateways, analogue telephone adapters, and residential/CPE gateways. These single-chip solutions make use of Teridian's MicroDAA data-access arrangement and provides the majority of the circuitry to connect PCM-formatted voice channels to a PSTN via a two-wire, twisted-pair interface. These 8x8mm QFN-package devices offer best-in-class return loss, EMI and common-mode noise performance, resulting in superior voice quality. The ability to support host-side power means the devices are independent of PSTN loop variations, generating robust performance in any deployment environment.
