A dust-, rain- and splash-resistant PC for harsh environments has been introduced by Trident. The compact casing of the MMB Mobile PC provides protection against demanding conditions in vehicles and vessels. The module is powered by an energy-efficient, cool-running VIA C7 1GHz processor, eliminating the need for fans and vents. It is sealed to IP65 on all but one side (the one where the connections are placed). An optional 1" skirt provides further protection once fitted. A fully IP67-specified version is also available. With on-chip encryption, SSE2/SSE3 support, integrated hardware and MPEG-2 decoding acceleration, it can fulfill a variety of media needs.
