PULS has introduced a new and innovative concept to generate a DC voltage from a 3-phase source. The XT40 family of electronic transformers deliver up to 960W from a lightweight, compact package and is an attractive new method to supply DC motors and other non-critical loads in industrial systems.

The XT40 family is up to 96% efficient, Din-rail mounted, measures a miserly 96mm wide and weighs just 1.4Kg. Operating temperature range is -25°C to +60°C without derating and offers a 25% PowerBoost feature to handle motor start-up currents and similar peak loads. All XT40's meet EN61000-3-2, active input-transient filtering, have a typical power factor of 0.93 and no inrush current surge.

Four models are available offering semi-regulated outputs of 24VDC @ 40A, 36VDC @ 26.6A, 48VDC @ 20A and 72VDC @ 13.3A. Two input voltages are available at 400V or 480V. Front panel mounted LED's indicate DC OK, transformer shut-down, low input voltage or missing phase and impending thermal cut-off.

Typical applications include DC motors as used on conveyor belts, manufacturing and logistics systems, industrial drive systems, valves for water distribution and purification systems, electrolytic painting and finishing, welding, heaters and lighting.

The XT40 Series has full international safety agency approvals and quick-connect cable fixings. All PULS Din-Rail power supplies are available from stock for next day delivery.
