The large-capacity square drive torque sensor designed by Sensor Developments measures the rotating torque of equipment that uses square drive interfaces. The square drive interface of the sensor allows for quick attachment to the equipment, where it can monitor fastenings that use nut runners or pneumatic wrenches. The single unit accurately measures the torque in a large-capacity 565 to 2259kN range, to complement the standard torque ranges from 5.6 to 271Nm. The angular measurement is achieved with a 1024ppr optical encoder for the standard capacities and a 1500ppr optical encoder for the large capacities.
