The PQ60240QGA05 isolated 1/4-brick DC/DC converter packs up to 120W (5A) of output power into the 36.8x58.4mm DOSA standard package and is just 10.9mm high in an open-frame format. Operating at an efficiency of 92%, the converter has minimal de-rating even in applications where there is limited cooling available. With just 200LFM (1m/s) of airflow, the device can deliver the full rated output current up to 70ºC. Reliability is reflected by the Telcordia calculated MTBF figure of 2.8Mhours. The small size, high power density, and input and output combination of the product makes it particularly suitable for wireless telecom applications, including wireless-data-transmission equipment, fan trays, and any application where a 24V rail is needed in a 48V environment. A base-plated option is available for applications that require cold-plate mounting.
