Aeroflex has just announced that it has added an internal-pulse-modulator capability to its 6810 and 6820 series microwave signal generators and scalar analysers, resulting in a fully self-contained, single-box radar testing solution. The instruments can perform advanced radar testing, calibration, maintenance and repair in either coaxial or waveguide media. The internal-pulse-modulator option is available in two frequency ranges: from 50MHz to 18GHz for typical radar test and from 50MHz to 40GHz for specialty applications. It offers the ability to perform sensitivity and range measurements for radar receivers and enables the user to test pulsed amplifiers under pulsed conditions.
