The HSPP series of high-resolution, piezoresistive-type pressure sensors is designed to detect absolute and gauge pressure. The sensor can be used in portable navigation devices in order to provide them with the capability to detect differences in road elevation derived from atmospheric pressure. The absolute-pressure sensor measures 4.5x4.5x1.0mm, while the gauge-pressure version comes in a 7.0x7.0x8.0mm package. Optimised digital and temperature-correction circuitry enables the sensor to perform high-resolution detection at pressure intervals of 0.01kPa (altitude equivalent to 1m, or a water-level equivalent of 1mm).
