The SDC320 AC/DC power-supply unit from UK-based manufacturer XP Power offers a choice of four formats: two of these use convection cooling or system airflow, and the other two feature internal fan-cooling systems. The compact 320W unit, measuring 101.6x152.4x38.10mm, has a power density of above 8.9W/". This low-profile model, suitable for 1U telecom server applications, is also available with a vented cover option if required. For applications where there is insufficient airflow, the two fan-cooled models offer greater thermal stability. These models have their fans mounted on the end or the top of the units' enclosures and offer a choice of space-saving vertical or horizontal mounting structures to fit the specific design requirements. All models operate over a temperature range which spans from 0 to +70°C, with de-rating above +50°C.
