The ML520G51 is a high-output red laser diode capable of delivering an optical output of 150mW at 640nm for use in mobile projectors, laser-show devices and other applications in the industrial and medical environment. In continuous operation at 150mW (within the temperature range of -5° to +45°C), the device features a wall-plug efficiency of 23%, compared to the maximum 15% efficiency of previous 640nm band laser diodes. The diode is integrated in a small hermetically sealed 5.6mm-diameter TO-Can package. Emitter size is only 40µm, with a parallel beam divergence of 7° and a perpendicular beam divergence of 40°.
