YEG Powerline, the power supplies division of the Young Electronics Group, has expanded its range of enclosed single output AC-DC power supplies with the introduction of medically-approved 1000W units. The new 1000W units are initially available with 5, 12 or 24V output. Young Electronics will extend this series soon to offer more output voltage selections between 3.3V and 60V.
The 1000W units check power supply specification requirements such as universal AC input continuous 85 to 265V; 4KVac input to output isolation, low leakage current (<300µA) and still have curve B built in EMI filtering as standard; flexible output voltages to cover non standard system voltages. The standard voltages can be adjusted up to ±20% using a trimmer or 20% to 120% using external programming; built in active current share for parallel operation; wide operating temperature range (-20 and +74ºC) and low temperature start up (-40º at 100% load); and low acoustic noise. The 1000W unit has a built in temperature controlled fan making it acceptable for medical, audio and laboratory equipment applications.
The case design means units can be stacked without need for ventilation gaps between them. The units have 12V 0.1A auxiliary output, DC output good signal, over voltage and over current protection and fan fail alarm as standard.
The series is CE marked and carries UL, CSA, EN60950-1, EN60601-1, UL60601-1 and EN50178 safety approvals and complies with MIL-STD-810F. for vibration and shock.. All models conform to EN55011-B, EN55022-B and FCC-B for conducted and radiated EMI as well as EN61000-4 and EN61000-3-2 Class A.
