Increasing demand for miniaturisation in the field of drive techniques has led to the requirement for an efficient small linear actuator finding use in the industrial and high-tech areas. With dimensions as small as 12,5x47mm and a weight of merely 56g, the 1247 linear DC-servomotor series can produce a peak force of up to 9,4N at full power. The standard product has a stroke length of 20mm and is optionally available with up to 80mm. The servomotor consists of a non-magnetic metal alloy casing (stator) with built-in coil and analogue Hall sensors. The sliding part that moves concentrically inside the stator - a precision metal cylinder filled with permanent magnets - completes this modern styled linear motor, making it a powerful, dynamic actuator. Control is achieved through the motion-controller series MCLM 3003/06, which is also available with a CAN interface. The controller is user-friendly thanks to its Motion Manager freeware. This actuator offers a solution for linear movement and positioning tasks in many applications. A great deal of further applications for these systems can be found wherever miniature linear motion systems are required. The complete drive system is available pre-assembled in a special StarterKit case, ready for plug-and-play.
