Pro Active has announced that it will expand the range of its electronic and industrial information technology products with the addition of its PROX'N'ROLL contactless smartcard device. PROX'N'ROLL simplifies the lead capture. PROX'N'ROLL Reader/Writer was introduced in the shape of a colourful, small yo-yo with the capability to store its connecting cable in a convenient, safe, and compact place by winding around itself. This design can enable it to be used in many applications, introduced in many other settings, and customised to special situations.
The PROX'N'ROLL Reader/Writer is compatible with any contactless ISO 14443 card standard. In one transaction, the content of the smartcard is read and transmitted via a serial port or USB to a computer or host. Easy to carry, PROX'N'ROLL can be mounted or placed on any stand or table. Because of its integrated system capabilities, PROX'N'ROLL identifies, authenticates, and collects the data of guests in any area that one wants to monitor, like booths at a tradeshow.
The technical characteristics of PROX'N'ROLL include: contactless interface - ISO/IEC 14443 Norm (1, 2, 3 et 4), A & B & Mifare, TCL Protocol embarked in the coupler, RFID Transmission: carrier 13.56MHz, card baud rate 106kpbs to 848kbps, integrated to the coupler antenna, range : 0.4cm, high lumen LEDs (red/yellow/green);and integration - USB, self powered through the computer, seen as a virtual serial port & Human Interface Device (HID) version soon available, API SpringProx (100% compatible with CSB4 et K531), available with the development kit, SpringProx PC SDK, Linux or other OS on demand.
