Tyco Electronics has introduced a range of stable and reliable metal oxide resistors providing high power in a small package. New RR series resistors are suitable for pulse applications in adverse conditions and are available in three different sizes with power ratings of 1, 2 and 3W for a voltage range of 350 to 750V. The devices feature a resistance range from 0.22 to 1MΩ. These resistors provide defined interruption behaviour and different leads for different applications like power supplies, amplifiers, household appliances and ballasts. Manufactured by depositing a homogeneous film of metal alloy onto a ceramic body, the metal oxide resistors are coated with a non-flammable lacquer. The coating is resistant to all cleaning solvents, in accordance with MIL-STD-202, method 215 and IEC 60068-2-45. The devices come packaged in ammo pack boxed or tape and reel format.
