A modular sine wave inverter power system has been designed for telecoms and industrial OEM customers. The Sabre Series integrated power system may be configured using sine wave inverters, static transfer switch, control unit and remote communications interface. These can be expanded to provide up to 24kVA.
Key features include very high power density, hot swap N+1 capability, a mechanism to safeguard power to critical loads, maintenance bypass and full system control and status display. The modules achieve power densities up to 8.36W/in³ and outputs to 1500kVA. A static transfer switch module automatically switches between the sine wave inverter output and the mains. The switch can be programmed to allow the system to operate as a standby power source when AC mains is available, or as the power source with automatic switchover to AC mains in the event of system failure. The user can monitor real-time system status including output voltage, output current and alarm status via an LCD display and LED indicators. The microprocessor-controlled module also permits settings to be programmed through the front panel and, with the Sabre system's communications interface module installed, remote monitoring and control is possible. A manual bypass and power distribution module lets the user switch between the sine wave inverter output or utility output.
