Photonic introduces semiconductor laser diode

Photonic Products has introduced the Opnext HL6385DG, a 642nm, 150mW, single longitudinal mode semiconductor laser diode with TE mode oscillation. This laser diode from Opnext offers a high optical output power at a visible lasing wavelength of 642nm.

Besides providing enhanced clarity and visibility, the Opnext HL6385DG laser diode is suitable for use in laser light show systems. The device is a single longitudinal mode diode with low aspect ratio (<2:1) which when coupled with the small emitting chip size (3x1µm) provides better combination of multiple diodes in high power RGB white light sources.
