Strategic Test has introduced two 500kS/s 16-bit data acquisition cards for PCI-Express. The UF2e-4731 has 16 analogue inputs and the UF2e-4730 has 8 analogue inputs. Options for dual-timebase sampling, synchronous digital inputs, asynchronous digital I/O and the ability to synchronise hundreds of channels are available. These high resolution data acquisition cards are offered with a large range of acquisition speeds and channel widths and this enables the customers to select the card that closely matches their requirements.Drivers and programming examples for Microsoft Windows Vista, XP64, XP and Linux are supplied with the card and SBench 5.3 oscilloscope program. SDKs for Matlab, Labview, Agilent-VEE, DasyLab and LabWindows/CVI are available as options.
Some of the key features available are 128Msamples of memory that can be expandable up to 2Gsamples. Continuous streaming to host PC at 120Msamples/s is possible. The effective number of bits is above 14.4bits; the total harmonic distortion is less than -92.5dB. The signal to noise ratio is around 88.7dB. Each channel has its own 500kHz ADC for simultaneous sampling, together with eight voltage ranges from ±50mV to ±10V, a programmable offset of 100% and input impedances of 50Ohm or 1MOhm. This allows each channel to be individually configured for the signal source.
The UF2e-473x cards can be customised with hardware options such as an onboard memory of 128, 256, 512, 1024 or 2048Msamples. Multiple recording through memory segmentation is available. Gated sampling with an output clock controlled by external TTL signal, and baseXIO that adds 8 asynchronous digital I/O lines are available. Timebase that records time of trigger events or gates and ABA mode are available. With a star hub, this card can be used with digitiser, AWG and digital I/O boards to create mixed-mode systems.
