Murata Power has unleashed the D1U-H-2800-52-Hx, a 2800W (220VAC), power-factor-corrected AC/DC front-end power supply that offers power density of 27.7W/in³. The power supply has an efficiency of 91.6% at full load and 92.0% at 2kW load. The RoHS compliant design is packaged in 1U low-profile housing and has a main output of -52V and a standby output of +12V. The power supply is N+1 redundancy capable and is suitable for hot-docking. It can be used in mission critical 48V distributed power architecture systems in data communications equipment. If required, three units can be packaged into an optional 19 inch, 1U power shelf to provide up to 8.4kW of power.The design features include over-current and over-temperature protection with auto-recovery, over-voltage protection and active current sharing or droop current sharing. Status information is provided through the front panel LED indicators, logic signals and an I2C bus management interface. The power supply has a highly efficient electrical and thermal design that incorporates internal cooling fans. The series comprises of two models, one module provides front-to-back airflow and the other provides back-to-front flow. Overall dimensions of the D1U-H-2800-52-Hx 1U power supply enclosure are 11.5x5.5x1.6 inch. Operating temperature range is 0ºC to +50ºC.
