Murata Power Solutions has launched the D1U-H-2800-52-Hx, a 2800W (220VAC), power-factor-corrected AC/DC front-end power supply that offers power density of 27.7W/inch3. With 91.6% efficiency at full load and 92.0% efficiency at 2kW load, the power supply is RoHS compliant and is packaged in 1U low-profile housing, measuring 11.5x5.5x1.6inch. The device has a main output of -52V and a standby output of +12V. The operating temperature range of the device is 0 to +50°C.
This power supply is N+1 redundancy capable and suitable for hot-docking. It is suitable for use in the 48V distributed power architecture systems in data communication equipment. If required, three units can be packaged into an optional 19inch, 1U power shelf to provide up to 8.4kW of power.
Design features include over-current and over-temperature protection with auto-recovery, over-voltage protection and active or droop current sharing. Status information is provided through front panel LED indicators, logic signals and I2C bus management interface. The product has an efficient electrical and thermal design that incorporates internal cooling fans. The series comprises of two models: one model provides front-to-back airflow and the other back-to-front flow.
